Kristin wishes that getting a baby was as easy as asking for Santa to leave one in her stocking.
…but that cute face was worth every minute of labor and c-section recovery!
Apparently Santa thought Kasen was very good during his first 12 days of life because he left a TON of presents! Most of the presents were for Kasen, but Kristin and Krister got plenty too.
As soon as we got up, Gigi got to work opening her stocking. She found treats and toys… what a lucky puppy!
Gigi thought some of her other presents were more like doggy torture, like these rubber shoes that are sopposed to keep her feet dry in the snow.
Billy got to hold Kasen for the first time… and feed him. We couldn’t convince him to change Kasen’s diaper yet, but we’re working on it.
And a fun photo of Kasen’s feet amidst some wrapping remains:
After opening all the presents (including Krister’s $500 win on a scratch ticket!), our house was a total disaster.
Rather than clean up, we feasted. The jokes and prizes in our Christmas poppers/crackers were particularly good this year.
On the 26th, we took our first walk with Kasen to burn off those cupcakes. You can’t tell from the photo, but the snow was falling heavily throughout our walk.
That concluded our holiday celebration. So from our family to yours, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
